About Dave
Dave Leno is a Radio and TV Broadcaster based in the Philadelphia area who is as versatile as announcers come. Many know Dave for his energetic, informative and detailed on-air work, and the massive prep he takes very seriously. He considers himself a small part of a play, and works cohesively with any analyst and production team. Productions and its crew know he is the consummate team-player who is always looking to help others.
Dave works with the Philadelphia Union as the club’s radio pxp announcer. Additionally, he calls nationally televised college basketball games and ACC Track and Field. Dave has called a slew of sports with ESPN, including college football, soccer, softball and swimming and diving. Each summer, he ventures to New York to broadcast at the US Open Tennis Championships as a radio and world feed tv commentator. Dave mostly handles US Open Radio pxp and hosting throughout the three weeks of America’s grandslam. He also works with a number of clients, bringing Dave in for voicework and hosting work. He regularly appears on various morning shows and radio stations in Philadelphia as well.
Since he graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington — Go Hoosiers! — Dave has worked as a Voice of several minor league teams and freelanced with numerous TV outlets such as Big Ten Network, Comcast Sports Southeast, One World Sports, USA Field Hockey and more! The foundation of his craft stems from his college days at IU working with a PBS affiliate on campus, WTIU-TV, and traveling around the country as a radio broadcaster for IU volleyball and softball as a student! After school, he cut his teeth in minor league sports with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL and the Trenton Freedom, a minor league indoor football team, while breaking in with ESPN in 2012.
Dave lives by this motto: “Dream BIG, and do not let anyone hinder your path to success! Treat teammates with respect and always strive to execute what’s best for the show.”
